Moving is stressful, but combining two different apartments into one house, can be even more stressful.
My fiancé, Jeff, and I started dating back in 2017. In fact, we met in October of 2017 and have been together ever since. Brief recap: we met October 24th, we spent an entire week together. I asked if he wanted to come back home to Arizona for thanksgiving with my family, he said yes. My dad asked him if he wanted to come on our family cruise for 12 days; Jeff said yes. The cruise happened. We fell in love. We decided to move in with each other… and here we are…
Backing up… I moved to LA in 2014. My dad helped me move my little one bedroom apartment from Arizona to LA in a uhaul to my new apartment on Doheny. I was lucky to nab this apartment. I lived in that building for almost four years when I met Jeff.
Shop for New Mattresses Starting at $499 at La-Z-BoyJeff and I dated for a little less than six months before we decided to move in together. We found our current rental house on hot pads (what a steal I might add). I found a four bedroom three bathroom house in the Hollywood hills for $5500 a month. We qualified and got in. So my fiancé and his brother moved in with my roommate and me, into this 2 million dollar house in the hills.
Surprisingly, our furniture matched and worked very well together. We took Jeff’s bed and dresser set, my side tables and bedding, and we purchased new lamps (and of course plants) from Home Depot.
Jeff and I are looking to eventually sell the current furniture we have and go for a lighter look with more beige and ivory tones. We also hope to get a king bed with a lighter frame in the near future.
